School’s Out Child Care at the Y
When school is closed, the YMCA is here to keep your child learning, playing, and having fun.
Our School’s Out Half-Day and Full-Day Care programs provide a safe, engaging environment for children in kindergarten through sixth grade during scheduled in-service days, early dismissals, and other school closures.
What to Expect
While you’re at work, your child will stay active, make new friends, and enjoy a day filled with enriching activities designed to keep them learning, exploring, and having fun. Each School’s Out day includes:
- Fun games and educational activities
- Sports and active play
- Hands-on STEAM projects
- Nutritious snacks
- Opportunities to build friendships and social skills
Please Note: Parents are required to provide a packed lunch.
Registration Information
- Registration closes the Friday before care is needed.
- Late registrations cannot be accepted.
- Families are encouraged to register for multiple School’s Out dates in advance.
- Refunds or account credits are not available for unused registrations.
- Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
A minimum of 10 participants is required for each School’s Out program. If minimum enrollment is not met, families will be notified of any cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.
2026-2027 School Year Program Options & Rates
Registration Fee
A one-time registration fee is required for each child during the 2026–2027 school year. This fee covers both Before & After School Care and School’s Out Programs.
Already paid the registration fee for Before & After School Care? You will not be charged another registration fee for School’s Out.
- $75 per child for early enrollment from March through July 31, 2026, and for all ELRC participants
- $150 per child beginning August 1, 2026, through the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year
