YOUR STORIES WRITE OUR HISTORY...
At the YMCA of Reading & Berks County, people are the cornerstone of everything we do. From membership to childcare, social service programs to volunteer opportunities, our services are offered with the goal of building a better community– together.
Everybody has a Y story, and every story is unique. That’s why we want to hear yours. To share your Y Story, complete the form on the right side of this page or request a “My Y Story” worksheet at your YMCA branch Welcome Center.
Y Stories can take many forms. However, to be featured in our communications, the story should be the following:
- Be an inspirational story of triumph that demonstrates how a Y program, facility, resource, or staff supported yourself or your family.
- Demonstrate one or more of our core values of Youth Development, Healthy Living, or Social Responsibility.
- Be a story you are willing to share with the community at large. A YMCA representative may reach out to you for more information or with further opportunities to share your story, such as video recordings or speaking opportunities.
