FALL/WINTER SWIM TEAM 2026

Season Start Date: September 14, 2026

Our competitive Swimming Program focuses on proper stroke technique and endurance for all levels of competitive swimmers. We hope you’ll join the excitement, camaraderie and competitive drive for being your best on the Reading Y swim team. We’ve had our share of successful seasons, taking us to states and national championships. We hope you will be a part of this season!

Registration Information

Registration Fee: $200 non-refundable registration fee for all swimmers (including returning members fee)

Payment Options: When you register online, you have the option to pay for the registration fee + swim program in full or  in 5 installments (which are billed on the first of September, October, November, December and January). The monthly installment is calculated by subtracting the $200 non-refundable swimmer registration fee from the total program fee (“Fee for the Season”) and divided by 5 months.

New Swimmers: 

• Before registering, all new swimmers must email Coach Kim Evans, Director of Competitive Aquatics, at [email protected] to determine your appropriate age group for moving forward.
• Please register on August 1, 2026.

Returning Swimmers:

• Welcome back! Your registration date is May 1, 2026.
• Take advantage of our limited offer: upgrade your swimmer’s membership to include the whole family for just $35/month. You’ll love the YMCA membership perks, including unlimited access to all five of our branches (Adamstown YMCA, Mifflin YMCA, Reading YMCA, Sinking Spring YMCA, and Tri Valley YMCA in Fleetwood) and a limited memberships at YMCAs nation-wide.

Here are the details for the swimmer’s membership upgrade promotion:

• Your membership will be billed monthly on the 1st of each month (September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027) to the primary payment method on your online YMCA account.
• To benefit from this limited-time promotion, families need to add all family members to their online YMCA account at the time of swim team registration (May 1).
• Once the promotion ends August 31, 2027, the family membership will be automatically terminated.
• Members may cancel at any time by emailing McKayla Angstadt at [email protected].
• You’re always welcome to re-join after the promotion is done!
