Summer Day Camp

Middle School Summer Day Camp is specifically designed with teens in mind. Great role models, a variety of activities, and age-appropriate independence make this a fun summer option for middle schoolers. Campers swim, play sports, enjoy creative arts, and participate in special activities.

To register, all paperwork in the parent packet must be completed and returned prior to the first day attended. Online registrations through our website will also be accepted. Incomplete paperwork/registration will not be accepted and may delay your child’s start date. We will accept registration on a first come, first served basis. Paperwork should be emailed to BJ Folk at [email protected] or mailed to our facility.

Registration Fee- $25 per child

Thanks to funding from the United Way of Berks County, there are NO weekly fees to attend this program.

YES Middle School Business Challenge

6/21/21 - 8/16/21

Calling kids in grades 6-8! Join in the 2021 Business Plan Challenge from Young Entrepeneurz Solutions (YES) this Summer! Through FREE workshops provided by Visions Federal Credit Union, students will learn the basics of entrepreneurship and how to take their ideas and turn them into business plans.Participants will compete in teams to create the best possible business plan and present their business plans to a panel of local judges from August 16-20, 2021 and compete for cash awards and prizes! The winning team will receive $200 per member and get the opportunity to compete in the U.S. Virgin Islands to win $1,000 per team member, plus $2,500 for business licenses, LLC formations, copyrights, trademarks, and more!

Cost: FREE thanks to our generous sponsors– The Dorothy Hauze Charitable Trust & Visions Federal Credit Union.

NOTE: This program is for Reading School District 6th-8th graders ONLY.


Weekly workshops, held by Visions Federal Credit Union, will be held every Monday from 10am-12pm throughout the summer for two hours.

The business challenge will be held August 16th-20th from 8:30am-3:30pm daily.



Applications will be accepted May 1st- June 4th

Interviews will be conducted in early June

Selections will be made by Mid June
