Reading Early Learning Center (Infant through Pre-k Childcare)

Well-trained staff provides safe, affordable, high-quality care so parents can have peace of mind while they work. Our Childcare Centers are fully licensed by the Department of Human Services and participate in Keystone Stars. We provide a safe and secure environment in which children can develop to their fullest potential.
Childcare is provided year-round at the YMCA for children six (6) weeks through pre-kindergarten age, Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided. Our childcare program offers developmentally and age appropriate curriculum.
To register, all paperwork in the parent handbook must be completed and returned prior to the first day attending. Online registrations through our website will also be accepted. Incomplete paperwork/registration will not be accepted and may delay your child’s start date. We will accept registration on a first come, first served basis. Paperwork should be emailed to Ashley Price at [email protected] or mailed to our facility.
Note: If you register online, you will receive an email with additional forms to complete prior to your child’s start date.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Full time rates are based on 10 hours or less of care per day.
Part time rates are based on 5 or less hours per day.
$25.00 per child, due at time of registration
$1.00 per minute after 6:00pm or over 12 hrs. of care
Over 10 hrs. Fee:
$2.00 per child, per hour over 10 hrs.
Fees are accepted weekly, bi-weekly or monthly for the weeks prior to care. Payments not received by end of business Friday will be assessed a $10 late fee for each day late.
There is no reduction in fees for holidays, emergency closings, vacation or illness.
Two weeks written notice is required for termination of care by parent/guardian.

Infant Room: We accommodate each child’s needs and routines to help the infant and parents feel secure while exposing children to a variety of activities that promote their emotional, social, and physical growth.

Young Toddler: We encourage individual growth and independence. There is a consistent routine including outdoor exploration and various learning activities like crafts, musical awareness, reading, and gross motor development.
