According to the American Red Cross: Drowning is the number one cause of death for children ages 1 to 4 years. Among children 5 to 14 years, drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury death behind motor vehicle crashes.

Location: Reading Swimming Pool, 631 Washington St. Reading, PA 19601
Cost: $100 Members or $150 Non-Members
*Each session will consist of six 30-minute lessons.

Aquababies: Water Discovery & Exploration
Accompanied in the water by their adult, children will learn the very basics of water safety; introducing babies & toddlers to the aquatic environment and learn to be comfortable in the water. This is a fun, interactive way for parents/adults to bond with the child while learning the importance of supervision to prevent drowning.

Level 5: Stroke Development
During this course, students will further develop and refine skills for each stroke style, including breaststroke & butterfly, diving, flip turns
Level 6: Stroke Mechanics
Having mastered the fundamentals, students will perfect stroke techniques for all competitive strokes. This course is geared towards swim team preparation.
